Commodity Orange juice

The orange originates from China. It was first introduced to Europe in the 15th century and was first cultivated in Portugal. Today, Brazil and the United States are among the largest exporters of the world’s most widely grown citrus fruit. The orange trees, which can grow up to three meters high, are very sensitive to weather fluctuations. The most significant part of the harvest is for the production of concentrate, which in turn is used for the production of orange juice. The NYBOT FCOJ Future refers to frozen orange juice concentrate obtained from orange cultivation in Brazil and Florida.
