Soybean meal is a by-product of the soybean oil extraction process. For human consumption, either a low-fat, semi-fat or a full-fat soybean meal can be produced by flushing, drying and other processes. This is later processed into baked goods, food (e.g. tofu) and nutritional drinks. However, the majority of soybean meal is used as feed in cattle, pig and chicken fattening.
